My Little photography sesh!

Hej!

So today was a pretty fun day for me as I don't quite start back at school yet so me and my dad decided to go on a little photography session out near where he lives, Tynemouth (which is by the sea!). It was a very fun day and the weather was just perfect for getting some amazing snaps, my dad is wayyy better at photography than me as for him it isn't just a hobby plus he has a much better camera! None the less, I do think we picked up some great snaps and I would just like to share them with you, as I already mentioned we both have professional cameras and by that I mean the big kind with the lenses :P mines a Canon EOS 1000D but not only did we use them, he also took some on his iphone 4s. Hope you enjoy...

New Years Resolutions!

Hej!

So with that awkward first post out of the way, I thought I would start with probably the most appropriate post for the time of the year, NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS! Those things that every year we all make and say that we are going to stick but does it ever happen? Really? Well, I know for me that answer has to be NO! I never stick to them but this year I can tell you that I am determined and just to give me that extra motivation to stick to them I am going to write an update blog post on my progress every other week. In the hope that this will inspire me to to do it because you will know if I haven't! So with that out of the way here are my resolutions:

<3 Eat a healthier diet - Now I know that this is probably one that everybody says because after all, Christmas is, well at least to me, a season of food and eating lots! Although this is the case to me its a little different because when I say 'diet' that in no way mean a diet to loose weight as with my petite size 6 frame and incredibly fast metabolism, I struggle to actually gain any weight so feel no need to loose any. My reasoning for eating a healthier diet is one of health concern, as I have recently been diagnosed with a digestive condition and it has been proven that eating a healthier, more 'balanced' diet can help relieve some of the symptoms. However this is  not the only reason, I also feel incredibly tired and lethargic all  of the time, contributing factors to this are my condition, my late nights and early mornings but also my diet. I'm not going to lie, currently I maintain a horrendous diet most of the time, this doesn't mean I don't eat lots of fruit and veg because I do but unfortunately I also eat mountains of 'junk' food. This is why for the new year I'm going to be healthier by snacking less in between meals and cutting down on the junk.

<3 Get a better nights rest - Now I intend to try something that I have been researching a lot because initially my intention was just to go to bed earlier as I have to get up early on a morning for school and I  can't change that. So I did a little research via 'mans best friend' otherwise known as GOOGLE SEARCH. I have to say Google Search is my lifesaver in most situations. After reading up I learnt that the problem I have is normal because however much I try to get to bed earlier, I can just never sleep so I am going to try something that was advised in my research which is to go to bed only when YOU feel tired! This could vary from night to night but as soon as you feel tired, you should take yourself off to bed but on a morning you MUST get up at the SAME time for me, this is 7:30am (Yes, that's even on a week-end :o). This process is almost the same a what you do with a baby, getting a routine! Doing this for a few weeks, providing you stick to it, will then give you your 'body clock' now of course this isn't a physical thing but it gives you a routine and makes you be fully rested every night. At first this may be difficult but you must stick to it and once you have your routine, I'm sure the odd night of straying from it, won't hurt.

<3 Positive Mantra - Naturally, I'm quite a negative person and to be honest I think this is partially genetics because as a whole family we are rather pessimistic, although this is not always a bad thing, I just feel that having a positive mantra/saying will make me a happier and generally more positive person. As over the past year - 2012 I began suffering many stress induced medical conditions, I think that being positive will make me healthier and just overall happier. If you are interested the mantra I am going to use is:

Be The Best Version Of You
I only found this quote via Zoella I really recommend that you check her blog and Youtube channel out, she is AMAZING!

<3 Drink more water - This is just as simple as it sound, as water and  tea are the only two things that I actually drink I really need to drink more. I can go pretty much a whole day whilst I'm at school without drinking a drop as i just quite simply forget.

<3 Save money - I'm not going to lie, shopping is my major downfall, if I like it...I have to buy it which I'm aware is a little bit of a dangerous way to live. I also find myself complaining about having no money, when really I only have myself to blame so as of 2013 I am strictly save! My intention is to noy even go on one shopping/online shopping spree until in birthday in March! This is going to be tough!

So that's all of my resolutions, I hope you hav enjoyed and they have given you some ideas, I haven't actually managed to stick to a NYR for more than 2 weeks but I'm really going to try hard this time....PROMISE! If you have any resolutions that you'd like to share just leave a comment, I'd love to read them!

Starting from scratch

Welcome! I have finally decided to set up my own blog. My small piece of this wonderous place we call the internet, dedicated to fashion, photography, books, lifestyle, art, make up and the odd random post.
I hope that you will enjoy and blog and that perhaps, in some way, it will inspire you or just make a glum day a little bit brighter. I intend to blog about things that I enjoy and to just share my personal thoughts with you, I hope  that I can actually manage to keep this up as I think it could be a really fun hobby.

As I sign I will leave you with one of my favourite quotes in a hope to inspire you  “Beneath the makeup and behind the smile I am just a girl who wishes for the world.” -Marilyn Monroe

Oh I can't just have one so here's another one

Because they're what matter most...
